Mid-Century Modern Mailbox | 3D CAD Design

midcentury-modern-mailbox-3d-cad-design-modboxI’ve been working with Andy McCloud, Vector Product Development, to complete the design of a mid-century modern mailbox inspired by those sold during the period. We reviewed multiple design variations on the basic mailbox theme to hopefully develop a ‘best of design’ mid-century modern mailbox.

Andy is using the SolidWorks 3D CAD Design Software.  We had a GoToMeeting yesterday afternoon.  It was amazing!  Andy was able to pull out each component for review/discussion and make design modifications on the fly.  We could look at cross-sections too.  Way too cool!  Very productive.  Thanks Andy!

I still need to receive the final, “yeah that looks great”, from a couple of friends/family with art/design backgrounds.  So, subject to some revisions, here are a couple of the images.

Let me know what you think.  You can check out some of the period mailboxes that helped inspire this design on Pinterest.

  1. Solid – Works tools allow designers that compares components
or drawings to learn exact differences between two similar designs.
The moment you’ve entry to some of these two products, it is possible to ask the Solid – Works support team that may help you view the
working of Photoview. Tip 3 – Find Freelance Solid – Works Sites
    – Figure out at least 2-3 sites where live Solid – Works projects are available.
